OCR World Championships 2026

OCR World Championships in Peak Crossing, Queensland, Australia. 4 events over 2 days, May 21–22, 2026.

Race information

The 2026 OCR World Championships moved to the southern hemisphere for the first time: Ivory's Rock, a 1,700-acre site at 310 Mount Flinders Road in Peak Crossing, about 50 km south-west of Brisbane in the Queensland Scenic Rim. The organizers describe the 15K course as rough, mountainous terrain with 40+ obstacles.

Four titles were on the line across two days. The 80M Championships ran time trials on Thursday May 21, with a head-to-head playoff final on the Friday evening and the whole course inside the event village. The 6K Team Relay was also on May 21 — three athletes over four legs and 25 obstacles, the first three legs in relay format (speed, strength, technique) and the fourth run together. The 3K Championships and the 15K Championships both ran on Friday May 22, the 15K from 07:00.

Entry was from AUD 20 for the 80M, AUD 70 for the 3K and the Team Relay, and AUD 175 for the 15K. Anyone could enter the open division; the Pro division required a qualifying result from an OCRWC qualifying event between October 7, 2024 and May 2026.

Saved. Lakes Entrance Spartan Ultra Trifecta Weekend is 6 weeks out, Sat Nov 21. Want the training planned around it?

Yes. Keep the runs I already do, add whatever's missing.

You run Tue and Thu (Strava). I kept those and added a Saturday long run building to 2 h, plus a Wednesday grip and carry session. Easy the last two weeks.
